I have never really taken part of school theatre until I came to Cheshire Academy. I had done a lot of music and some theatre outside of school, because I was too shy and self-conscious to perform in front of people that I knew. Since coming to CA, I have been in Les Mis, the Spring Improv Show, the Importance of Being Earnest, Footloose, 25 Squared, and now in the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. I also took the dramatic arts class last year as a sophomore. I have always leaned towards musicals because of my love for singing and the excitement that music brings to the performance, but I have learned the beauty of plays, monologues, improv, and devise theatre since coming here. I love performing more than anything. As someone who can tend to be naturally shy, theatre constantly pushes me past my comfort zone both physically and mentally, making me not only a stronger performer, but a stronger person as well.
